Sights from the National Mall

Despite my glowing review of the DC Metro, it turns out that my softball game yesterday was located about 30 minutes from the nearest stop.  It resulted in a detour through the Western section of the National Mall, which includes the memorials to our fallen soldiers from several wars.  It’s always a very moving experience for me to walk through this area and remember the millions of men that have died for our country.  Whether you agree or disagree that it was for the right reasons, you cannot dispute that they made the ultimate sacrifice.  Instead of continuing to write, here are some pictures.  However, they don’t do it complete justice and I highly recommend that everyone that visits DC sees these sights for themselves.
